Mail Classes List

DAZzle automatically calculates the postage for the following domestic mail classes:

• First-Class Mail: Regular US Mail for postcards, letters, and flats. DAZzle use 3-decimal prices.

• First-Class Mail Parcels: Retail offering of parcels 13 oz. or less.

• First-Class Package Service (FCPS): Parcels up to 15.999 ounces.
• Priority Mail: Expedited delivery (2-3 days) US Mail. Amount is based on the zone of the delivery address.
• Priority Mail Express: Overnight (1-day) US Mail.
• Retail Ground (formerly known as Standard Post): Shipping for merchandise.
• Parcel Select Ground: Similar to Retail Ground, but is available only as Internet Postage, offers 2-8 day delivery times, costs less than Retail Ground, and includes tracking.
• Metro Post: Available in only certain cities and shippers with National Service Agreements, the USPS Metro Post service is available for use with the Package (Rectangular) package type. For more information, see the USPS Metro Post website.
  • Tip! You can optionally hide the displayed price of postage using the Stealth Postage feature, available only to Endicia Premium or higher service account subscribers.
• Media Mail: Books, films, CD-ROMs, DVDs, sheet music, videos.
• Library Mail: Library items shipped to or from a library or school.
• Bound Printed Matter: Catalogs, directories, and other printed material.

International mail classes are for those items that you are mailing from the US to foreign countries.

Use the following mail class types with the configured layouts. The insignias for the following are printed, but no amount is calculated because they are prepaid:

• Permit—First-Class: Prints a First-Class Permit Insignia.
• Permit—Presorted Mail: Prints a Presorted Standard Permit Insignia.
• Permit—Non-Profit Mail: Prints a Non-Profit Permit Insignia.
• Permit—First-Class, US Gov’t: Prints a US Government Permit Insignia.
• USPS Label 103: For use by US Postal Service only.
• USPS Label 104: For use by US Postal Service only.
• Business Reply Mail (BRM): Standard US Business Reply Mail format.
• Business Reply Label (BRM): For packages, more restrictive use, and formatting.
• Business Reply Card: Same as BRM, but different dimensional requirements.
• International Business Reply Mail: For sending BRM mail to the US from foreign countries.
• Merchandise Return Services (MRS): For helping your customers return merchandise. When your customer uses a return label, your postage payment account is charged. To use this service, a Merchandise Return Permit is required. For more information, see the USPS Return Services website.
• Presorted, Standard: Standard Class presorted mail.
• Presorted, First-Class: First-Class presorted mail.

The presorted types can only be printed for a list that has been presorted and assigned a postage rate by a compatible presort application. Currently, DAZzle Express is the only application that can do this.
